10 STEPS FOR DIRECT SALES SUCCESS
WHAT IS DIRECT SALES?
This proverb has been around for a long time: "It's better to feed a guy than to starve him.
For a day, he'll be mine. You feed a man for a lifetime if you teach him to fish. lifetime."
Many of them were able to improve the quality of their lives.
They enjoyed lovely holidays with their families. They invested in a piano or an organ and gave their kids music instruction.
They put money aside for educational expenses. They bought furniture they needed and redecorated their dwellings.
One very successful saleswoman constructed a brand-new house.
The rewards of direct selling are many
1. You
can be your own boss.
2. You
can set your own hours.
3. You
can own your own businesses with little or no investment.
4. You
can pay yourself more than any boss would ever pay you.
5. You
can give yourself regular raises as your business grows.
It is only fair to inform you that there have been been failures.
Some people refuse to work for themselves.
When they have a boss, they get up early, keep themselves tidy, and arrive at the office on time.
When they are their own boss, though, they are still in their pajamas and have yet another cup of coffee at 11:00 a.m.
Direct selling presents an extremely unconventional way to make money if you have the self-discipline and ability to be your own boss.
THE 10 STEPS FOR DIRECT SALES SUCCESS
Here are ten steps that will bring your success:
1.Set goals
What do you hope to achieve?
Do you intend to put money down for your kids' college expenses?
new vehicle?
new house?
You can have everything you want as long as you truly desire it and are willing to put forth the necessary effort to obtain it.
Whatever your objective, put it in writing and assign a deadline for completion.
Break up the time period into manageable achievement blocks.
Work consistently to complete the tasks you have on your list for each day, each week, and each month.
Setting goals is essential in all aspect of life. Without specific objectives, very little is ever accomplished.
2. MAKE A LIST OF THINGS TO DO
Make a list of everything you intend to accomplish the following day every evening.
You can approach each day with organisation thanks to that.
Mark off each item on your list as you complete it.
It is remarkable how much can be accomplished while using a "to-do" list.
Additionally, have a notebook with you at all times that lists appointments, possible clients, returning clients, and recommendations.
You will continue to add to it.
3. ACT WITH ENTHUSIASM
The high-octane "fuel" that salespeople run on is enthusiasm.
Enthusiasm produces energy on its own.
Energy and excellent health are attributes of successful, happy, and active people.
4.The magic word in sales is "ask," which you should know by heart.
We don't have to wait for customers to find us in direct sales.
When we ask for something, we build our own business.
Make an appointment first, then conduct business.
Request business first, then close deals.
When you ask for recommendations, you will always have a long list of possible customers.
Be assertive while remaining discrete.
5. BE READY TO ACCEPT NO's
Recognize that rejection is not personal.
The law of averages applies in sales as it does perhaps everywhere else. You grow closer to a yes with each denial.
Take note of your ratio. It will aid in the development of your skills.
Do you have 10 nay votes for every one yes?
Do you have a five to one ratio?
Recall that the yeses are what pay your bills.
Also keep in mind that a "no" is not always a "no."
A "no" is frequently only a stall for additional thought.
It may be a request for further details about your offering, be it a good or service.
In reality, your client is purchasing assurance.
Ensure her that you care about her by acting in a helpful manner and being really honest.
She'll likely treat you with respect and do business with you.
6. PLAN YOUR TIME EFFICIENTLY
A timetable is a map that salespeople use to get from A to B.
It alleviates the day's stress.
It ensures that all of the important tasks are completed on time.
Make a plan for your task, then carry it out.
7.ENSURE THAT YOUR ATTITUDE IS POSITIVE
As in many facets of life, attitude and ability combine to make up 90% of sales success.
We must all endeavour to cultivate the habits of positive thinking.
I am pleased to work in sales.
Sales are what propel our economy forward. According to a quotation from Bernard Baruch, a presidential advisor, "our country would go bankrupt if every salesperson sat down and didn't take orders for twenty-four hours!"
Salespeople are necessary for every firm that creates any kind of goods in order to move it.
Without salesmen, the economy would collapse.
Keep in mind that among all vocations, sales is one of the highest paid.
According to statistics, successful salesmen earn far more than the average.
8.Ensure that you have a designated work area.
Direct salespeople typically work from home, but it's critical to have a dedicated workspace where you can stay on top of things and get things done.
Working in an office with a set schedule provides you respect.
In order for a firm to run smoothly and preserve correct records, both are critically necessary.
9. BE INVOLVED
Competitions are a common feature of many sales organisations' incentive programs.
Establish business objectives that include winning contests.
In addition to making your business a lot of fun, contests may add a lot of money to your bottom line.
10. LEARN HOW TO MANAGE MONEY INTELLIGENTLY.
A typical nine-to-five job typically results in a paycheck at the end of the second week.
Direct sales "reps" deal with money all the time.
Direct sales generates both immediate and consistent income.
As a result, becoming an effective money manager is absolutely necessary.
Deposit all money received from customers into a checking account created exclusively for the company's business.
Record keeping becomes easy and reliable because bank statements provide a precise accounting of all funds received and because cancelled checks can serve as evidence of business expenses.
All transactions, with the exception of a few "petty cash" transactions, can be obtained directly from bank statements.
Regularly saved money that is invested grows into a second source of income in addition to earned income.
A long-term objective in direct sales is to be able to support yourself in retirement on the interest from your investments.
Would having financial stability be important to you? If that's the case, ponder the following:
Am I being honest?
✔️Am I really a social person?
✔️ Am I open to learning?
✔️ Am I eager to work?
✔️ Can I manage my own business?
Find a good product for the direct sales market, one you like, one that serves a need for many people, and start your own business if the answers to these questions are yes,
⥤ ⥤ You can make your desires come true.
